As you have no doubt noticed we have finalised the re-branding of the European Institute of Logistics & Transport to it’s new identity the European Supply Chain Institute. This is to recognise our increased focus not just on logistics and transport but on the complete supply chain from manufacturing to sales to distribution. There will be a new look and more user friendly member resource center in order that you can more easily get the information you require on our industry supplier partners and their solutions. As you know from your input the RFID partner programme is now in it’s fourth year keeping you abreast of developments in this area and what applications are right for your orgnanisation. Your fourth edition of the euroRFID report is available to download now from this site and also from our partner the International RFID Business Association www.rfidba.org. On your request we began researching in late 2006 the areas of Mobile Solutions, Middleware, Product Lifecycle Management, Supply Chain Management and Data Synchronisation solutions and their providers. The real key to realising the full applications of technologies such as RFID is turning the data generated into Business Intelligence. Over the last six months we have indentified many of the key issues you need to consider and as always have also identified the lead solution providers that you need to be in contact with. All solution providers identified and judged to be the leaders in their field are being approached now to join as a supplier partners and put forward their solution information for your evaluation by you. Over the coming weeks you will have the opportunity to contact directly those organisations who can assist you in these areas. |
